DESIGN DIALOGUE DAYS 2026 | VOLUNTEERING

BECOME AN ACTIVE PART OF DNA THESSALONIKI!

DNA Thessaloniki takes its first step.

From November 1 to 8, Thessaloniki is transformed into an open design route. Everyday objects, their stories and the people behind them are presented in selected shop windows in the city center, while a central public installation is created in Aristotelous Square.

To make this action a reality, we need people who want to be part of it.

BECOME A MEMBER OF THE TEAM

DNA Thessaloniki volunteers are the face of the action in the public space. They are there to welcome the public, provide information, introduce the action and help visitors discover the stories behind the objects.

The main responsibilities of volunteers at Aristotelous Square are:

  • welcoming and informing the public about DNA Thessaloniki and the Design Dialogue Days,

  • providing information about the central installation and the route of the shop windows,

  • communicating with visitors and encouraging them to get to know the action,

  • supporting the smooth operation of the point throughout the day,

  • recording observations and feedback from the public, where necessary.

You don't need to be a designer or have previous experience in the field. You just need to be kind, communicative, collaborative, consistent, and available to learn and share the story of the action.

WHEN AND WHERE?

Volunteer shifts are held:

November 1–8
Aristotelous Square
10:00–22:00

Shifts will be organized into individual 6-hour shifts, so that coverage is smooth and there is always the necessary support on site.

Before the start of the action, a short informational meeting will be held, where DNA Thessaloniki, the Design Dialogue Days, the installation and everything volunteers need to know about their role will be presented.

WHY PARTICIPATE?

Because you'll be there from the start.

You will meet people from the design and creative industries, come into contact with different audiences and actively participate in DNA Thessaloniki's first public action.

Above all, you will contribute to something we believe is important: making design more visible, more accessible, and part of the city's daily life.

And this is just the beginning.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

We expect from our volunteers:

  • consistency and responsibility,

  • kindness and positive attitude,

  • communication skills,

  • collaboration,

  • active participation in the information meeting,

  • adherence to the agreed schedule and shift.

During the shift, all volunteers will receive a coupon for a mini meal from a local shop. After the end of the action, volunteers will receive a certificate of participation from DNA Thessaloniki.

Design is everywhere — but we often don't see it.

From November 1 to 8, we will try to make it visible.
